For any rider who qualifies to participate in Special Olympics athletics. All riders compete in different competitions with their horse. In order to join Silver Lining's Special Olympics Team, riders must complete an 8-week riding session first.

How to Start?
Visit our New Rider page to sign up for your orientation and evaluation. Once the paperwork has been completed and the $45 fee received, Silver Lining Riding will contact you to set up the orientation.
All new riders start with an Orientation and Evaluation. This is a half hour, one-on-one session with an instructor. Upon arriving at the orientation, riders will learn how to groom and tack their horse (if they can) with trained volunteers, while the instructor sits down with parent/guardian to determine goals for rider. Instructors will then make recommendations as to what kind of lesson best suits the rider.
