Dawn Brown Memorial Scholarship

For 13 years, Dawn Brown poured her heart into Silver Lining Riding—serving faithfully as a volunteer and board member who championed riders and the horses who carry them. In her honor, the Dawn Brown Memorial Scholarshiphelps ensure that cost is never the barrier to confidence, connection, and growth in the arena.

Scholarship Overview

When funds are available through grants or donations, Silver Lining Riding offers Dawn Brown Memorial Scholarshipsto riders with financial limitations or in accordance with a grantor’s parameters. Scholarships may cover up to 75% of one session’s rider fees.

Application & Review

• Riders may apply by completing the scholarship application.

• Applications are reviewed quarterly by the Board of Directors.

• To protect privacy, all identifying information is removed before review.

• Submitting an application does not guarantee an award.

Awards & Limits

• Successful applicants will be notified electronically and/or by mail.

• Awards apply only to future sessions and cannot be used for the current session or past-due balances.

• The rider’s account must be in good standing (no past-due balance at the time of award).

• An individual rider may receive no more than one scholarship per ride year, and no more than two scholarships will be awarded to the same household.

Scholarship recipients are expected to attend scheduled lessons. More than two unexcused absences will result in forfeiture of the remaining scholarship and ineligibility for future scholarships.
