Kelsey’s lesson journey began in 2018, when she started teaching beginner lessons to kids in her neighborhood. Her passion for adaptive and therapeutic lessons blossomed when she moved to Kentucky with her husband, Zach. There she began working towards becoming a PATH International certified instructor with Healing Reins of Kentucky.

In 2023, Kelsey and her husband moved home to Arizona to start her own lesson program, Sunrise Mountain Equine at Be Kind Ranch owned by her grandmother Colleen Campbell. Kelsey and Colleen knew they wanted to host a non-profit therapeutic riding program. After meeting the SLR Team, Kelsey shared with us, “I Immediately knew this organization was exactly who we wanted to support and work with. I feel honored to be included as an instructor in this program that uses equine assisted therapy to heal the lives of so many in our community.”
